Abstract
The complications after extraction of mandibular third molar are alvolar ostitis, secondary infection, postoperative bleeding, dysethesia, etc. most of them are easy to diagnose, but some are difficult. Complex anatomical structure makes in
difficult to
diagnose easily.
A 29-year-old female patient visits our clinic with the chief complaints of intermittent pain and swelling after extraction of right mandibullar third molar. The swelling area was more anterior than third molar. We cannot confirm it as buccal
space
abscess, which was occured after extraction with the conventional diagnostic tool.
Ultrsonography has many advantages. They are non-invasive, easy to use, painless easily reproducible, inexpensive. We can find the typical abscess findings with ultrasonography with flake-like particle in it. I&D was done at correct point. All
the
symptoms were disappeared after 3 days.
